Monroe Firestone

    Private Client Sales

Mr. Firestone heads our Fixed Income here at Corinthian Partners.

He joined Salomon Brothers upon completion of his MBA from Columbia University, where he was selected as the McKinsey & Co. Scholar of the Year. During his six years as a partner at Oppenheimer & Co. (now CIBC/Oppenheimer Co.) where he was a member of the institutional  equity sales department, he became the single largest commission producer in the entire firm. Capitalizing on his combined skills in both the bond and stock markets, Mr. Firestone  built a "book of business" with individuals of substantive wealth as a partner of his own firm.

Victoria Van Dyke

    Private Client Sales

Ms. Van Dyke has over twenty years of investment banking and syndicate experience.  From 1985-1995, Ms. Van Dyke worked in London as head of international debt and equity capital markets and syndication desks.  She began her investment-banking career with Salomon Brothers in New York and was subsequently employed by Deutsche Bank, Credit Lyonnais, and Banque Nationale de Paris/Paribas Capital Markets. 

Ms. Van Dyke brings twenty years of diverse investment banking and syndicate experience to Corinthian Partners L.L.C., with considerable international expertise, including twelve years based in Europe. From 1985 to 1995 Ms. Van Dyke worked in London, holding senior managerial positions in the international debt and equity origination and syndicate new issue field.  She held Senior Vice President/Director level positions with Deutsche/Morgan Grenfell/Capital Markets, Credit Lyonnais, Banque Nationale de Paris Capital Markets and Scotia McLeod. She was directly responsible for managing the syndication and origination of well over ten billion U.S. dollars equivalent of lead managements of debt and equity public new issues and private placements in U.S. Dollars, Euro, Pound, Yen, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars, etc.  During the majority of her London tenure, Ms. Van Dyke was in charge of both the Syndicate and Global Frequent Borrowers business units.  She was responsible for managing the relationships with and winning debt and equity mandates from the largest clients globally, including the biggest cap companies, national governments, supra nationals such as The World Bank, The European Bank (EBRD) etc., including many European and other Privatizations.

In 1995, Ms. Van Dyke founded Matrix U.S.A., a woman owned and managed broker-dealer, which focused on investment management businesses and private placements. Matrix U.S.A. focused on international and domestic business with the largest U.S. public pension funds and their investment managers.  The firm also originated selected private placements and was particularly close to the activities of the largest hedge funds in the world.  Ms. Van Dyke is a member of The Women's Syndicate Association and chairs the investment advisory board for the endowment of Rutgers University professional schools. 

From 1980-1985, Ms. Van Dyke worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, starting in the management training program in New York, subsequently as Second Vice President and Institutional Country Manager based in Netherlands, and the Latin America group.Ms. Van Dyke holds a B.A. with Departmental Honors from Stanford University, and a Masters Degree in International Economics and Politics from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (joint program, Harvard and Tufts Universities).

Lee Metzendorf

    Asset Management

Lee Metzendorf heads our Registered Investment Advisor, Corinthian Partners Asset Management.  He has more than forty years investment experience managing  portfolios and providing financial advice to high net worth individuals and families. 

He joined Corinthian in December 2008 following seventeen years as Senior Portfolio Manager  at Fiduciary Trust Company International.

Gale Eisner

    Hedge Funds

Gale Eisner, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, has extensive experience in alternative investments with a specialty in hedge funds and managed futures. She spent 14 years in Citi's Alternative Investment Group where she sold all types of alternative investments to high net worth individuals, endowments, foundations,  public and private pension plans as well as family offices. 

Idris James Mortley

    Trading & Operations

Idris Mortley has worked with Corinthian Partners L.L.C for the past ten years.  At the age of 21, Mr. Mortley was featured in Trader’s Monthly as one of the Top 30 Trader’s under 30 and was subsequently interviewed by CNBC and MSNBC. Mr. Mortley currently heads our operations department although still works on the Trading desk to a lesser extent.

Idris Mortley graduated from CUNY-John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a Bachelor’s of Art in Forensic Psychology. 

Joseph Bruno

    Trading & Operations

Joseph Bruno is a New York City native with experience in trading, operations, and international sales. He joined the Corinthian team in early 2005 as part of the Trading/Operations team and has been serving that position ever since. He contributes strong client-relation skills along with broad technological knowledge to the team. 

Mr Bruno is a graduate of The George Washington University School of Business.

Ren Xu

    Investment Banking

Ren Xu recently joined the Investment Banking arm at Corinthian Partners. Previously, she held internships at both Conde Naste and the Law Office of Alex Ru. Ms. Xu interned under Mr. Daniel Guilfoile, our senior managing director of Investment Banking before joining the team full time.

Ren graduated New York University Cum Laude as an Honors Scholar with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Art History. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Italian.

Martin Krachman

    Corporate Finance

Martin Kratchman is a Managing Partner and Founding Partner of HealthPro BioVentures, LLC. Mr. Kratchman provides a vast array of advisory services including strategic partnering, Merger & Acquisition advisory and capital formation to the life sciences industry. He currently acts as an advisor to numerous public and private biotech companies  in the areas of pipeline enhancement, business development and corporate and business restructuring. 

Martin Kratchman has specialized in the Healthcare sector since 1992. His principal role as Managing Director at Paramount BioCapital involved creating and managing an investment banking team focused on mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare sector. Martin acted as lead banker for Cardiome Pharm Corp.’s (COM, TSE CRME, NASD) acquisition of Paralex, Inc. and Adherex Technologies, Inc.’s (AHX, TSE ADH, AMEX) acquisition of Oxiquant, Inc.

He was also involved in the distribution of Paramount BioCapital’s private equity companies in the United States, Canada and Europe, raising over $600 million with his three partners. Martin was also responsible for the structuring and pricing of private equity offerings for both public and private biotech companies, in raising capital for the Aries Fund, and in assisting biotech companies in their search for new research technologies and therapeutic drugs. He has been a financial consultant to various biotech companies.

Martin has lectured in the United States, Canada and in Europe on venture capital and M&A opportunities in biotech. Martin has a broad range of experience in investment and commercial banking and trading. Prior to joining Paramount in 1992, he spent five years at Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. marketing global fixed income risk management products to European financial institutions. Prior to Chase Manhattan Bank, he was a Vice President at First Boston Corporation on the derivative product desk. Before holding that position, Mr. Kratchman spent five years at Citicorp, N.A. as head of an arbitrage trading unit in futures and options and as manager of Citicorp’s New York Futures Desk.

Martin Kratchman received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, and his Masters in International Finance and Banking from Columbia University in New York.

David Blumenstein

David Miguel Blumenstein co-founded The Hatchery, specializing in technology, energy (cleantech/renewable) and life sciences. Prior internet and technology experience includes publishing - Macmillan, finance - Salomon Brothers, media/advertising - Ogilvy & Mather and EURO RSCG, sectors. David has been at the forefront of technology and its application in solving biggerissues.

As Managing Director of The Hatchery, a venture catalyst for international and domestic emerging companies, he has overseen a narrowing of the chasm between investors and entrepreneurs through business, strategic and corporate development offerings and advisory services.
